Charity Partner of the Year

We are incredibly proud to announce MND Scotland as Universal Language’s first-ever Charity Partner of the Year. As a brand built on a love for football and the community it creates, we wanted to support a cause that truly matters — not just to us, but to so many in football.
 
MND Scotland is leading the fight against Motor Neurone Disease (MND) by funding ground-breaking research, world-class clinical trials, and vital support for those affected. On the frontline of the fight against MND in Scotland, MND Scotland not only supports those diagnosed but also their families, helping them make the most of their time through grants to improve quality of life, home adaptations, advocacy, and more.
 
Their work holds a special place in the hearts of the Jambo faithful, following the tragic passing of former club captain Marius Zaliukas in 2020 at the age of 36. 

Honouring Marius Zaliukas & Raising Funds for MND Scotland

As football fans, we go through many loves.  For the team behind Universal Language, that first love was their boyhood club Heart of Midlothian. Having grown up watching a player like Marius Zaliukas in maroon, it was devastating to hear of his passing.
 
Marius wasn’t just a player but also a leader, a cup-winning captain, and an inspiration to so many Hearts fans, young and old, during his stint in Gorgie. This partnership is our way of honouring his legacy while helping MND Scotland continue their vital work.
 
To mark the collaboration, Universal Language have launched an exclusive product in memory of Marius Zaliukas, with a £5 donation to MND Scotland for every item sold.
